A home loan balance transfer routed through Clean EMI moves your existing home loan from your current lender to a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) bank — usually to access a more competitive interest rate or a top-up loan on the same property. Clean EMI prepares and forwards your file; the receiving PSU bank reviews your existing repayment record, remaining tenure and property documents before deciding whether to take over the loan and on what terms. This is a private facilitation service, not a bank, and the final takeover decision, interest rate and any top-up amount rest entirely with the PSU bank.

It is the process of moving your existing home loan from your current bank or NBFC to a new lender — in this case, a PSU bank — typically to get a lower interest rate or better terms on the remaining loan amount.
Many PSU banks allow a top-up loan on top of the transferred amount, subject to your eligibility, property value and the bank’s own policy at the time of transfer.
A CIBIL score of 700 or above is required to proceed with a balance transfer application through this portal.
Clean EMI does not charge applicants any fee. Your current lender may levy a foreclosure or transfer charge as per your original loan agreement, and the new PSU bank may charge its own processing fee — both are outside Clean EMI’s control.
Timelines vary by bank and depend on how quickly your current lender releases the property documents and how quickly you can complete the branch verification step.
Most PSU banks conduct a fresh valuation and legal check on the property as part of their own due-diligence before approving a takeover, regardless of any valuation done by your current lender.
